DAFFAS TO NAVIGATE APPLIED PHYSIOLOGY'S FUTURE
Applied Physiology - developers of the breakthrough cardiovascular care system Navigator™ - has appointed Philip Daffas as its new chief executive. Specialising in the development of targeted guidance devices for use in critical care, Applied Physiology found Daffas after a six-month international search for a CEO with the blue chip experience to guide the company’s Navigator™ flagship product to market this year.
Daffas’ experience ranges from taking innovative medical products to the world market with Cochlear and driving Boehringer Mannheim’s diabetes care business to gaining in-depth knowledge of the intensive and cardiovascular care environment with IVAC and Shiley. In this time he has worked in Europe, the US and Australia.
Philip Daffas says: “I am delighted to have been chosen to lead Applied Physiology into this important phase. The company’s mission is to make life easier for clinicians in the critical care environment and this could not be more apparent than with Navigator™ .

Applied Physiology (www.applied-physiology.com), which is based in Sydney, Australia, will demonstrate Navigator™ at the 30th International Symposium on Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine in Brussels on 9-12 March. It will also be sponsoring a satellite symposium, chaired by Dr Michael Pinsky, at the event.
